Windows Security Centre

Discussion in 'Virus Information' started by =?Utf-8?B?TmVs?=, Sep 18, 2004.

  1. I am having serious trouble with Norton Antivirus and Windows Security Centre.
Windows Security Centre clams that norton antivirus is installed but that
it's status is unknown and that my computer may be at risk, whereas Norton
Antivirus denies any problem or risk. I am inclined to believe Norton
themselves but do not want to take the risk and then for my computer to
become infected. Please advise as to the best course odf action.

Get the compatibility patch from Norton's website.

This is not really a serious problem. Your NAV is still working and
protecting against viruses, but it's not able to tell the Security
Center that it has the latest updates - that's all that's happening.

The later Norton/Symantec products have or will have updates that will
    accommodate Windows Security Center.
