I've installed the Webroot's Spy Sweeper demo on my 2 computers. If I
decide to keep it does any know if the pay version will work on both

I'm willing to part with $30/year for the service but with the free stuff
out there I'm less willing to spend $60

On a (somewhat) related note, does anyone have the instructions to
completely uninstall Spy Sweeper? Add/Remove Programs doesn't do the
whole job; it insists on showing its splash screen at startup.

    Reg hacks are welcome.... ;^)

Perhaps Spy Sweeper is not uninstalling completely because it has a couple
of resident programs running in memory. You will need to shut them down
    before uninstalling.

  9. tried it few months ago.. gave me promptly as (false?) result a
keylogger on my system... at the moment a brand new clone just hooked
online behind a hardware & software firewall & avirus... weird...
So yes,.. there are alternatives freely available ;-)
Besides that... Webroot allows one definition update.. what is nice...
but rapidly pops up a screen to ask you to upgrade... what is quiet
disturbing... disturbing enough for me to remove ity from my system in
stead of testing is for a while longer.
I find AAW & Spybot more friendly... perhaps I'll pay for AAW's
    resident scanner...
So you did not hear me say that Spy Sweeper is a bad product,... but
imho.. i can do without for now...
