    Hi,

I would like to know how to remove/trim the content
of the Window Server 2003 CA's <name>.edb under
    Certlog.

    Thank you,

The file name is based on the CN= name of the CA when you install the CA.
Why would you want to trim the name in any case??

  3. certutil -deleterow can be used to remove failed requests or expired certs
    from the database.

It can also be used to remove any row from the database table.

Afterwards, the certsvc service could be shutdown and esentutl.exe can be
used to compact the database file and recover disk space.

A full cert server database backup (backup the "system state") should be
made *before* and after attempting to remove rows to shrink and compact the
    database.

    Thanks,
