TaskBar Lock out

    I am using widows xp. I'm unable to use the task bar to
    enter my computeror turn it off. Also the clock is stuck
    although it checks out ok when I check the system.
    I can access all the Icons with the mouse ok.
    my friend said it looks like a virous but a scan with the
    norton showed no virous.
    any ideas.

    Hi JorgeL,

    This may be a virus but it could easily be some other process. To
    troubleshoot this symptom you should boot your computer "clean" -
    preventing other 3rd party programs from loading.
