  2. I don't *feel* about the products, I just *know* about facts. So try
    Kaspersky oder McAfee.

    Best scores belong to NOD32:

If strings of VB100 pass/fail awards are your only criteria. You
should consider other tests and criteria as well.

    Send me _useful_ links, please.
In my Firm I have VirusScan Enterprise 7.0 (140+ WS).
Our firewall runs Linux and have Kaspersky and Qmail.
Since I must renew our VS licenses next November, I installed KAV on
my laptop. It was a complete disaster. KAV screwed the laptop and
after a second install I find it is bloatware. It needs 30% less
    resources than VS though.
Searching NGs for the problems I got with KAV, I discovered NOD32,
and I am amazed! Daily updates and really important for me, in the
three machines I installed NOD32 now, they keep really fast, as if no
    AV software was installed there.
There's no such thing as best AVsoft. For the moment I'll keep NOD32
on those 3 puters till the end of the trial.

Check out in particular detailed tests done at Uni Magdeburg and Uni
    Hamburg:

It's true that there's no such thing as "best" for all users under all
circumstances. Also there's no test or set of tests that are "best". I
have a high regard for the McAfee scan engine which is based on the
old Dr Solly product. Also, for KAV and products that use the KAV
engine such as F-Secure. But your mileage will vary as you've
experienced with your laptop. Personally, I only use DOS av scanners
so I don't have those kinds of problems :)

i use kaspersky antivirus, i've tested some other popular scanners, like
    nod32. mcafee and bitdefender.
on the most tests on the web, kaspersky takes good test results, also vb
    100% award.
Eset Nod 32 is a smart, very fast scanner but it didn't find as much as
kaspersky or mcafee. But in the future if Eset would upgrade an fix some
details it would be on the same line as kaspersky etc.
