I have "successfully" loaded 823559: Security Update for
Microsoft Windows about 20 times now. Why does Windows
Update keep telling me I need to upload the patch?

Try running a full AV scan and a full Trojan scan with Adaware or
    spybot.

  3. Empty your Temporary Internet Files and shrink the size it stores to about
    80-120MB..
(In Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Internet Options -> General Tab -> Delete
Files (offline too) and Settings in the same area.)

    Get rid of the spy/ad/mal-ware..

    Spybot Search and Destroy

    Lavasoft AdAware

    Hijack This!
(For browser Hijacks - also look into CWS Shredder)

    And Assortment of Others:

After you cleanup your PC somewhat of spy/ad/mal-ware, verify your antivirus
software is updated and run a full scan of your computer. If you have no
antivirus software - get one NOW!

    Go through this:

Try your update again on your newly cleaned system.
