I got sasser virus on my laptop and after removing it my
anti virus software tells me that I have the virus in the
    folder.....System Information Volume/_restore.
How can I remove the problem. When I run the AV software
it tells me I dont have a virus.
I am unable to restore my system to before I got the virus
as I had only purchased the computer that day.
    Thank you

  2. System Volume Information is the system Restore data.
Turn off/on System Restore to delete corrupted files:
    Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
Click System Restore Settings on left side.
Check "Turn off System Restore", click OK, follow prompts and reboot.
This deletes ALL Restore Points including corruption.
Then go back and turn on system Restore and create a Restore Point.

Yeah.. what Jupiter said.. :) .. you might also want to enable the XP
firewall to prevent this happening again..
