  1. It may be true that many of us know this. I would think, however, that if he
wanted that information disseminated widely, he would do it.
Your whole post is wrong in so many ways, I cannot even begin to list them.

Oh, and why are you trolling this group now? Run out of fish elsewhere?

Just Adding to everyone's answer concerning this mindless cretin named BD

Boater Dave you are a friggin nut for crossposting your drivel . Give us a good
    reason why you do that.
What a mindless idiot you are

Like you wife Thrish said to all of us in her recent post "Please excuse my husband
he has been found to be mentally unstable by our Physicians here in the Devon area "

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion regardless whether or not they are
correct. You happen to be incorrect.
Because THIS is Usenet, and he can do whatever he wants to do. Don't read
it if you don't like it.
    Again .. you are incorrect.
Perhaps you should sign up for skype and have a voice chat with Dave? You
could get alot said very quickly on both of your parts and maybe the two of
you could clear up your continual disagreement. Of course, I really don't
expect you to actually take that sort of step in getting to know someone
else that you clash with, but, do you really want to keep up your
disagreement? <shrugs> Some people will never get over an offence, let
    alone try to.

Ah...the beauty of usenet. Where some tout the benefits of being able to
say and do whatever you like, then turn around and complain about others
doing that very thing. I think it's more of that "what I do is fine, what
everyone does that I disagree with is not fine". LOL

    Ain't life grand?

I think the simple answer is that if Jenn doesn't like what others post, she
    just shouldn't read it.

The simple answer applies to everyone .. people post what they want to on
Usenet, and if others don't like it.. don't read it.

Lots of benefits to posting on Usenet for sure. There is also benefits to
taking the time to get to know people, and skype is one way people can do
that, now. It allows people to put a voice, and a face(if people video
chat) to go with the text they read every day. And who knows... if Peter
Foldes and Dave(bd) were to voice chat, maybe they could work out their
issues much quicker? I'm one who believes it's possible.

    | Now that is *not* a good answer, Mr Lipman! I'm adding *nothing*.

    | If one looks there are 2420 posts of mine in this group:-

    | microsoft.public.security.virus&q=BoaterDave&qt_g=Search+this+group

    | It seems that "Rhonda" has made only one previous post in the 'virus'
    | group and just 418 in 'alt.spyware' - a relative newbie! ;)

I have been on Usenet for almost 20 years and I have known Rhonda for a number of years
and your poor data acquisition does not reflect the reality.

There was absolutely no reason to x-post to m.p.s.v and CERTAINLY NOT
    alt.politics.scorched-earth

There was no reason to denigrate Randy because of his contributions and association with
Aumha. He IS contributing to a.p.s and I have known Randy for a number of years as well.
One may say that Randy was a proponent to the creation of a.p.s .

What's more is he is posting On Topic. Your reply has taken this to a insidious tangent
    further justifying your troll label.

People can have lengthy and profound misunderstandings when they don't
communicate openly with each other. We take offence for any number of
reasons and then those offences just compound on top of each other over the
    years.
umm ... being an intermediary between two men who aren't getting along is
like asking to have my head scalped, and then beat to a bloody pulp and
doing so voluntarily. <g> It's possible to do, but I could come out of it
more injured than either one of you. :D LOL That's not to say I haven't
been an intermediary before and done so successfully. <g> It takes time
and there are rules to follow as far as communicating in that sort of
    setting.
Skype will only do 1-video to 1-video .. it won't do video with 3 people at
a time, but it will do a conference voice chat with 3 people at the same
time, which is kind of cool.
haahahahaa ... I dunno.. Dave .. Seems you two have been going at it a
long time. I'm not saying either one of you is right or wrong... probably
both of you have been right and wrong on occasion. It just seems like you
both are old enough to find a way to get past your differences, but it takes
both of you to get there.... just saying...... it could happen if ya'll
    want it to.

Why not just mind your own business? It's between the 2 of them, and they
can work it out, or not. Ever think they might enjoy the controversy?

Truth is, you rarely ever "know" anybody who posts on a newsgroup. You
might think you do, but you don't. You have no idea who you're talking to.

You have a valid arguement, Jenn. It's entirely possible to misunderstand
someone if you only have text as the communications medium. That said, I
wouldn't personally take the effort to contact BD (or anyone else) over
voIP (skype..etc) or anything else. But, I'm a recluse. Your milage may
    vary. :)

Even if slightly incorrect. His posts are chewing up resources on my
computer. Granted, it's a few bytes; but... Those bytes could add up! In 20
years or so at this rate, he might even force me to delete an mp3 or
something. Or delete this program. *grin*.

Ehm.. If you really intended friendship towards anybody; you wouldn't be
dropping their names on usenet to get a response from them. You'd be able
    to contact them directly, hehehe...

So, why isn't it my business?
True ... then again, it really can't hurt to suggest that people communicate
and overcome their issues that make them clash. I'm simply making that
    suggestion.

It depends how long you've known them .. how much information they share
about themselves ... if you have contact with them outside of the ngs ...
and many other factors. I've met many people in person that I've known
online over the years, so a person can know the people they post with on a
    ng.
