It's not mine to start with but the way I see it one of the engineers or so
team within a different site of PSS owns this.

Mr. Lipman you speak of credibility and ethics hence you addressed Windows
Onecare ( in a very harrassing manner ) in one of your posting which I happen
to be in, that is of ill respect to the institution that provided us with
    this medium.

    thanks,

Update: I have confirmed through internal MS sources that the poster Milo is
    indeed associated with MS PCSafety.

Milo and I have had a private email exchange wherein I apologized for the
harsh tone in some of my posts in this thread but again encouraged him to
post in the public newsgroups with more transparency such that others here
might be more trusting of his replies.

    <snip>

Thank you. I would very much welcome such an opportunity at the next MVP
    Global Summit.

As to posting the Microsoft email alias, understand that you posted the
alias in a public newsgroup in May-06 and that your post is available via
Google Groups archive, therefore it's been publicly-available information
    since you posted it.

As to my use of a Gmail alias (and a munged ReplyTo), that address is used
solely in these newsgroups as a "throwaway address". It acts as a Spam Trap
to avoid unwanted, uninvited private contact. I do not offer free offline
support and seldom ask a poster in the public newsgroups to contact me
privately. These newsgroups are a Community and all replies should be made
to the newsgroup unless otherwise requested.

Also please know, Milo, that the poster in this thread using the alias
"Sharon Franks" is not, in fact, the real Sharon Franks [1] but a well-known
scam artist, software thief, and copyright violator AKA PCButts1 [2].

He certainly shouldn't have been acting so cryptic and mysterious. Other MS
    employees certainly don't.

    |
    | thanks,

I called a spade a spade. OneCare is junk. It has the worst catch rate in teh anti virus
industry. I have stated this from the beginning. I have submitted samples to Microsoft
since the beginning. This was even when there was a spam on content filter on the
submission email address. Upon mine, and others urging, Randy Treit put the submission
address outside of the email content filters. I continue to provide anywahere from 900 ~
1300 malware samples per month to Microsoft.

I have tested Microsoft's solution over and over again and it ALWAYS falls behind the other
anti virus products tested and I have publicly posted the results and the resultant scan
logs. Oh, and the Live OneCare web site doesn't allow you to extract a log. You can't copy
and paste from the web site nor can you save a log to a disk file.

I have NO ties to Microsoft. I am not a shill for any company. I do however care about
those who are infected and will seek the *BEST* possible solution for their problem and
Microsoft's so-called anti virus solution is NOT in that list. Now I admit that I post on
the Microsoft News Server in a Microsoft News Group but I will NOT falsely state an opinion.
    I must be honest.

Thank you, PA Bear for putting this matter to rest. I appreciate the time
    you took to research Milo.

I have been reading his posts for awhile now and I also considered him to be
    very suspicious.

Up until now, I have basically avoided his posts because I need to read and
reread and reread nearly every one of his posts to understand what he is
trying to say. Most of the time, I couldn't figure it out even after
several read-throughs. He obviously has some difficulty with the English
language (or maybe just his keyboard?). Either way, this is not the
professional image that I would expect Microsoft employees to promote.

I hope that he heeds your suggestions about showing transparency in his
posts so that his suggestions will become more helpful.

  15. I defended a program written by pcbutts once because it works and ever since
then they accused me of being that person. Pcbutts has a blog with a lot of
info about the harassment she has been through by these MVP's. My assessment
of them is true as you can see because you have just been a part of it.

Except that your postings have been tied back to one of the IP's that
    Butts posted from :)

Except that you've screwed-up and posted to the MS groups that the Real
    Sharon Franks posts too.

Except that BUTTS was exposed, has been exposed, continues to be exposed,
    and you're just a nym.

But hey, you have no reason to believe me, do you. You can only believe
