Nowhere do I see an answer to my question:-

Is Malwarebytes approved by Microsoft itself? If so, please cite
    reference.

If it really is as good as it sounds, perhaps Microsoft will but it!
    (They bought Giant - remember?!!)

  4. Will a mention on an official webpage suffice?

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Details.aspx?type=Software&p=Malwarebytes'%20Anti-malware&v=Malwarebytes&uid=1&pf=0&pi=0&c=Communication%20%26%20Internet&sc=Security&os=32-bit

Actually the question is idiotic, but that's to be expected
from the ~bd~ IDIOT. Why does MS have to approve it?

And what's the deal with changing a thread's subject line
~bd~ IDIOT? Not to mention the idiotic editing of the
post you replied to, which I sort of undid to reflect the
true aim of the original, which stated that ~bd~ is an
    IDIOT. Now it is truthful.

BTW turn it around: ~bd~, show us a reference
of software that MS has "approved".

  7. They don't have to, but it would lend credibility toward its
trustworthiness if they mentioned it. You *won't* find "Remove-it"
mentioned in the same light on a Microsoft webpage. BoaterDave plays the
"average user" advocate role -and wants to find a reason to believe
PCButts' software is not to be trusted while Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
is. Since both "programs" are aware of each other and act on that
awareness in a feud-like manner, it may confuse "average user".

(the evidence he's already been shown *should* have been enough - but BD
    is BD after all)

BD appreciates all the help and guidance given by FTR - and thanks him!
    :)

Banning me from The Malwarebytes forums - an organisation which has no
physical address nor contact *telephone* number - is not helpful in
persuading the average user that Malwarebytes *is* bonio fido.

However, a link with Sunbelt Software *is* welcomed. I've tried the new
facility on this laptop and am pleased to report that no malware was
    discovered!

It would be nice if all of you would re-title this post. It has never been
about me, so I have no idea why my name is being dragged into it.

    I understand.

    It is BoaterDave trolling.

Please STOP changing your name, you keep getting out of my BoZo bin when

    Stop your lies!

It has been clearly proven on Scorched Earth that you were banned at the Malwarebytes forums for posting an obscene photo.

Don't confuse having a career with having a life. They're not the same

Someone, surely, has carried out an independent check to give such a
widely used facility a clean bill of health. Whilst MBAM is obviously
highly effective at removing 'malware' why is it considered impossible
for the downloaded software to leave its *own* gremlin within the
    cleaned machine?

It seems my comment to this effect, on TRT's blog, resulted in my being
    banned from the Malwarebytes forums!

I guess I do have the expertise. A guy with a networking problem was doing
some research on Google and came across the various posts labeled "David Kaye"
and decided to write me back. We spoke on the phone. He operates a real
estate office in the SF area and needs some tech help. We came to some fair
terms and I'll be working on his project Wednesday.

They say that all publicity is good publicity. I'm not sure if that's true,
but I'm happy that he took a chance on me.

So, I guess I'm saying I don't care if you plaster my name all over Usenet.
    It gets me business.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that I have a long list of satisfied customers he
    was able to check, too.

It can be amusing where one gets customers. I once got a customer who knew
someone who knew me from the jazz scene in SF. Knowing nothing about me he
gave me his business because, "Well, if you know about jazz you obviously are
someone who has passion and pays attention to detail." Yeah, that's right,
but it seemed a bit of a stretch to me.
