PC in a foreign LAN - need to secured it

    Hello,
    My colleague is working in one of our distributor office PERMANENTLY and connected to their LAN for internet access and printing. How could I protect her PC from being access via the LAN

    My colleague is working in one of our distributor office PERMANENTLY and connected to their LAN for internet access and printing. How could I protect her PC from being access via the LAN. She is using Window XP operating system

  3. Turn on the firewall on the PC in question.
    Leave no ports open that are unnecessary.

    That effectively blocks incoming traffic to any ports you do not tell the
    firewall to leave open. They cannot ping it, connect to it in any way that
    I know of.
