While looking a review of antispyware, I looked at the PC
Pitstop site. Their Optimize program instrigued me because
I know I'm not getting the best from my cable connection and
    acan't figure out why.

What have your experiences been with PC Pitstop Optimize?
Is there another program you would recommend to speed up
    internet/cable connections?

    TIA

I'd never been there before and won't be going back. Anywhere I see a
recommended download, I leave, unless it's on a site that is hosting
other free downloads and looks to be using the adds to pay for
bandwidth. Those I just get what I want and ignore the recommended
    downloads.

    Then again, I'm pretty cynical.

Thanks a lot - what a great site and a neat utility.

Do you know what the advertised max bandwidth is for RR - is
it 5000? I'm not sure what number to put in there.

    Thanks again.

It consistently says I have a 1 second delay and everything
    else is fine.
Then, when I click on FAQ1606, I get
    It doesn't fluctuate - it's a constant.

I had RR here a month or two ago and the tech ran a test and
said it's fine. It is ok - but it's not as fast as it used
to be. And the decrease in speed seems to exist 24/7

    Any ideas?

    Thanks again.
