I have recently upgraded the norton anti-virius on my computers to Norton
    360. Norton 360 required that windows defender be removed from my computers.
Is Norton 360 redundant with Windows Defender? Would I get the same
    protection using Windows defender only?

You ask questions that only you or Symantec can answer, Curren. Apparently
    Norton 360 won't play nice with Defender's real-time protection.

Or is Symantec getting back at MS for requiring NAV to be uninstalled before
    installing OneCare?

Perhaps you should consider an anti-virus product with less impact on your System?
