I have a piece of malicious spyware on my PC that keeps telling me I
have a virus and pointing me to the following site:

    http://www.spywarequake.com/

I Have Spybot S&D as well as NTLGuard but both are ineffective. I have
also run MS Windows malicious software removal tool. Any help would be
    appreciated

  2. Chances are you have some malware planted there by the very same Spyware
Quake. It's on the list of rogue applications. See:
    http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm
and scroll down to that name.
Ineffective in what way? That they can't find this spyware quake
nonsense? Try A-Squared; it is very good. Links here:

Consider keeping the latest version of Spybot S&D as well.
    Sorry, don't use MS products.

Another ZLob Trojan leading to non-viral malware -- namely SpywareQuake !

Most of the sites now with "Codec" in the Domain name are really hosting ZLob Trojan
    installers that are facke CODECs.
