made a mistake?

  1. I have spent the whole day battling with my infection of Trojan Horse
Eventually I turned the PC off, presumably meaning that when it rebooted,
it generated some changes in the registry.
One such change may or may not have been the fact that I then became
precluded from scanning the System Volume Information, in the registry, when
I ran the Windows online TrojanScan programme. It read that the scan was not
permitted there, even though it had before, and that was precisely where the
Trojan Horse was. But another explanation is that I had in fact, whether I
was supposed to or not, deleted the entry I found under the search for the
final part, which was A0033791.exe, of the full string that located the
    Trojan Horse.
Where do I go from here? Is it gone? Have I deleted the wrong thing?
    Thanks very much in advance,
