Lexmark accused of installing spyware with printer drivers

    It apparently monitors usage of the printer. It also asks for personal info.,
    although Lexmark claims it does not send the personal info to them.

    I've got the Dell A720 which is apparently a Lexmark and ZoneAlarm reported
    that it was trying to phone home.

    Just instruct your firewall to permanently block it.

    Don't stop there. Write/call/email Lexmark and let them know this sort of
    behavior is unacceptable, and their products won't be purchased until
    they alter their behavior. Dell also, if they're rebranding Lexmarks.

    User backlash fixed the Belkin "spamming" router. We should be able to
    have an impact on this issue too.
