How to secure wireless network by specifying MAC Address requireme

Discussion in 'Computer Security' started by =?Utf-8?B?Z21hbg==?=, May 12, 2005.

  1. I am running a MS USB 2.0 Adaptor and a Netgear MA101 Wireless on my other
computer. The other computer is a Dell 333Mgz running Win 2000 pro. The main
computer is a VPR Matrix 2.54Gz running Win XP home. Is it possible to setup
MAC address security with this configuration?

  2. MAC Security is enforced at the router level, not the individual NIC level. You don't specify if you're using a router or not. If so, then consult the router's manual for information on how to enable this feature.
