    Good Afternoon KBLBird

Try the following product for removal, it will also assist in keeping
    these products off

    Spybot Search & Destroy
    www.safer-networking.org

    Download, Install and update.

Make sure all tools are updated within the last week.
Outdated tools are sometimes worse than no tools at all.
Do not assume if it is recently downloaded that it is current.

hello i'm sorry i can't help you because i have the same
problem, i got a message saying windows dectedt spyware
and all and it recommended me to install a program called
xoftware. I did install it, but when i did the scan i
found out the programs that are suppose to be spyware are
common programs such as WildTangent and i don't wanna
remove it because if i do then i won't be able to play
any games even the ones that came with my computer. Is
the program xoftspy safe? please someone help me!

You didn't get a message "from Windows". You got an ad from a company
purporting to sell a spyware removal appplication which is in itself
spyware. Here are the normal ways to remove spyware, all of which are
    free:

Remove spyware with Spybot Search & Destroy from
    www.safer-networking.org and Ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com. Be sure
to update these programs before running them. These programs are free,
so run them both since they complement each other. It is best to run
antivirus and spyware removal tools in Safe Mode. You may also need to
    run CWShredder from http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/index.html .
Please read the instructions carefully. Also, make sure you've visited
Windows Update and applied all security patches. Do not install driver
updates from Windows Update. Make sure you are running a firewall and
have a current (post-2002 version) antivirus installed using updated
    definitions.

As for Wild Tangent, it has been on some spyware remove lists because of
its automatic updater; however, Wild Tangent is a legitimate company
and you don't need to remove it if you like the games. Removing spyware
does require some knowledge of what you are removing. This is where
your first place to look for information is Google. For instance, I
learned about Xoftspy by putting "Xoftspy" in as a search term at
Google, and immediately got links telling me this wasn't a good
program. Here are some useful links for learning about spyware:
