  2. You are infested/infected with something.

    Please provide some background information:

    - Fill in the blanks:
Windows XP Professional with Service Pack _, __-bit?
    - AntiVirus application you have installed - name, version and latest
updates applied as well as the last time you did a full computer scan with
    it?
    - AntiSpyware/Adware/Malware application(s) you have installed (pro-active
or reactive versions) and the last time you did a full scan with an updated
    version of them?

Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 or greater, 32 or 64-bit - here
is what I suggest with just that assumption:

Download, install, run, update and perform a full scan (separately) with the
following two applications (freeware versions are the ones to use for this):

    SuperAntiSpyware
    http://www.superantispyware.com/

    MalwareBytes
    http://www.malwarebytes.com/

After performing a full scan with one and then the other and removing
whatever they both find completely, you may uninstall these products,
    if you wish.

Download and run the MSRT manually:
    http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.mspx

    Reboot.

Come back with the answers to the questions and results of the scan and, if
needed, someone can continue assisting you in cleaning up your system. ;-)

No but it freezes up and I have to cut my computer off and restart it.
My computer is supposed to be protected by Ciber Defender but they
haven't been able to clear it.
