Not really into FaceBook (my wife did put me on it however), I was at a
neighbor's helping her with her pc and she wanted me to see why she couldn't
get signed up on it and I found it was asking for her email password saying
it would not be stored. I asked my wife if she gave them my password and
she doesn't remember. Not only would giving my password allow access to all
my emails, address book, but also my dsl provider account.

To try and inform people in general it is not to their best interest to
divulge such information. Those like my wife who don't understand the
implications especially when dealing with FaceBook as their sordid past
should have given her a feeling that a higher level of security awareness
    should be indicated.

People like your wife should be trained before they're allowed to use a
    computer.

For sure she is trained now. But web sites like FaceBook shouldn't be
allowed to prey on people that don't understand the possible implications. .

  6. Sounds like you need a personal email account that is not linked to your
    home network connection.

That would be a good policy to have now that we're aware of the situation.
