exchange best secured option

    hello i'm planning to install exchange 2003 in my organization
    i have 2 domain controllers
    i want owa access too

    what is the best secured option?

  2. Microsoft will tell you not to install Exchange to a DC if you want to be
    secure so put Exchange on a member server. OWA will be able to talk to the
    DC behind the firewall to authenticate the domain. Depending on how secure
    you want to be you would be smart to only allow external traffic to Exchange
    on SSL for OWA, block all other external traffic to the Exchange server at
    the firewall...get a secure certificate for your OWA and only allow external
    traffic to port 443 via SSL and implement VPN to get behind the firewall for
    full Outlook client access. There's other more secure solutions but I guess
    that depends on how secure you want to be as well as the resources you have
    available for the project.
