Backdoor.Win32.Landis.o (aka W32.Chod.D) and Trojan.Win32.Qhost

Discussion in 'Computer Security' started by =?Utf-8?B?QWJzdHJhY3Q=?=, Nov 13, 2005.

  1. After scanning my PC throught Symantec Online Scanner and Kaspersky Online
    Scanner. Two viruses were found.

Symantec only found W32.Chod.D, while Kaspersky found
    Backdoor.Win32.Landis.o and Trojan.Win32.Qhost.

And I don't have any ideas now to remove them. And I think they have cause
my Microsoft Anti-Spy, MS Anti-Spy installer, regedit and msconfig to
    auto-exits when open.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Microsoft Antispyware is an antispyware software.
Antispyware softwares DOES NOT and CANNOT remove viruses because these are
    different things.
You need an updated antivirus software.Online scanners often cannot remove
viruses because they are in use.

Here is a link from which you need to download that file written by me.
    Follow the malware removal instructions.

    As antivirus software download
    Panda Platinum 2005 Internet Security
or Panda Platinum 2006 Internet Security ,then install in Safe Mode , and
    check all settings.
    Update it !!!
Make sure it is set to scan ALL files, use heuristic, disinfect ( or if
unsuccessful -> put files in quarantine )

Also scan with the offered Antipsyware solutions.
If scanning in Normal or in Safe Mode doesn't help ,use SpyBot Search and
Destroy and Panda Software's command line scanning .

If you don't have Office pack (Microsoft Office ,Open Office or other ) you
will need this to view the file:
MS Word viewer 2003 (free by Microsoft

P.S. When you are finished ,you have cleaned your PC ,learn how to protect
    it :

" Let's beat malware black and blue "
" No new epidemics of all kind of malware -> Panda TruPrevent "
