  1. This is on a XP pro system in a domain.
When logged on as administrator, it works fine
When I log on under another name, it tries to start brings up an error box
    that says
    "Unexpected error; quitting"
I can not figure out why the hell it does this.
    Any help;

  2. Yes ,of course ,what you ask in normal for the Beta of MS Antispyware.

It works only on Admin accounts and similar (like debuggers ...) ...

It doesn't work on the usual user account .

And also ,there is no poing for it to work while user is logged on because
users cannot install anything and this gives them permanent Operating system
protection agains most of the spyware.

All you need on such a PC is an up-to-date antivirus (which is 2005 or 2006
    version)
You do not need antispyware with real time if you are logged on using the
basic user account. You also need firewall and windows updates as The Security
    center in SP2 reports.

  4. I have anti virus software AVG. What is happening is constant internet
popups even if I am not using the internet. It keeps resetting the home page
to some crap when I click on internet explorer. The computer does automatic
updates every night. I don't know what to do. I have tried installing
SPYBOT but it shuts that down too.

  6. No problem Almost Bob ,you are welcome :)

Dear Casey ,according to your second post your computer seems to be infected
    with a spyware/virus = malware

Clean your computer.May be you have a malware that disables the security
softwares so you need to load a security software in Safe Mode with command
    prompt.

I recommend you click here and download SpyBot S&D 's updates from their
web-site ,install them and boot into Safe Mode with command prompt and scan
    with it.

You may also use Panda Software TruPrevent 2006 to up the security of your
    computer.

    tracking cookies are inert
there are spy programs that read and complie cookie lists to track usage
but they come in when the user clicks the "I'm an idiot button"

if all your advicve is going to be of this calibre
    "registry cleaner"
just read & learn, dont answer
