It seems that many are getting e-mails supposedly from
Microsoft to install a cumulative security patch. I got 4
such e-mails today about 4pm PST. They look ligit but the
Microsoft logo looks strange. Besides, I've never known MS
to send unsolicited e-mails to install patches. This is
what gave this scam away. I'm glad I had my "security
warning" on so that Outlook Express alerted me wheather I
wanted to run or save the file when I was browsing these e-
mails. Run your virus scanner and don't run anything off
of such e-mails. Good luck! ..Greg

  2. I fell for it. Now, two hours later, I just got almost
200 "undeliverable mail" e-mails. No one's got my address,
besides ebay and microsoft, I've never even gotten junk
mail on this account. What do I do now?

    Other giveaways to the scam:

Random letters in the 'from' e-mail address
Very weak instructions for installing the 'patch'
The mail states "the names of products and their companies are trademarks of
their respective owners"; uh.....if this was a legit mail, the only products
and companies being offered are Microsoft. :D
