Active X box pops up and disappears before allowing selection

  1. I let my virus scan lapse. Got a virus. Cleaned the PC, quarantined and
deleted virus. Trying to download McAfee Firewall, but when the Active X box
comes up where I need to say "yes" it disappears before I can click yes. I've
tried setting the acive x controls in IE as suggested, but still can't
    download McAfee

  2. Their is no reason that downloading a firewall should require an active X
    control.
Are you trying to do something else at the same time? like some type of
    virus scan?
