I'm running vista home premium, it it up to date, as well as a third party
firewall,av, the microsoft antispyware, and meticulously keep everything up
to date and scanned. Clean the history, temp. folders with a privacy cleaner
after every session on-line.

Before yesterday I must say that in the 1 year useage I've had absolutely no
problems and this computor has run flawlessly.

Yesterday I was commenting on/debating a news story of a major media outlet
the cbc. In a text box very similar to this box I'm writing in now.

When trying to write, with the keyboard I'd punch the ' b' key and the' h'
letter would appear on the screen and so forth jumbling up many of the words.

Excuse the language but... How the Hell did I get compromised, and must I
now do a nuke and pave ? (the av and spyware programs find/found nothing)

There is a newsgroup for Vista security (not that this is really a
security issue)

microsoft.public.windows.vista.security

You are using a web to usenet gateway (Microsoft's is marginally better
than most others IMO).

This doesn't sound like malicious activity to me.

Does it happen when typing onto notpad as well, or OE, or is this only
when typing into a web form?

I don't think it is malware related.

Best you repost this to the public.windows.vista.security newsgroup where you will
get a more comprehensive answer.

On the web:

Current format is/always was English Canada, current location/is Canada,
keyboard language/ is English Canada, keyboard layout US, Hotkeys between
input languages(none) advanced key setting between languages (none)

There was/is nothing to change here with the settings I have.

Well, this has never happened to me before, not with any other program...not
with notepad, word or any other text editor. Only in a web form.
I'm sorry I am not convinced that this is not a security issue.

What software were you using when you were "...commenting on/debating a news story of a
major media outlet the cbc." ?

....there is a text box from the cbc themselves at the bottom of the page
into which you must log into first with password and username,in order to
comment. This I did, and this is were my keyboard keys went haywire. (only at
this page)

Will do this, shortly if those who have responded think it necessary. shall I
simply copy and paste all responses or just my original question?

I am using OE as my newsreader. I tried the Canadian Governments (CBC) site that you
posted and I signed in since I also sign in there. I get a different reaction . My
Desktop freezes up when I sign in there and start a comment.
Was not doing it yesterday. I think there is something wrong with their code and let
us see tomorrow if it does get corrected. If not then on Monday since you know very
well they are off all this week.

I sincerely hope it is them. I put in a great deal of effort to keep this
machine clean, up-to-date,and I am very careful. Yes it is the holidays so
'wait and see' is in order I guess.
