Yama Description
Worm Yama is an Internet worm, written in Java Script language. It uses Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Outlook Express mail applications to spread by e-mail. The worm infects every outgoing letter by inserting its code into the body of the letter. It also can change the default start page of Internet Explorer web browser.
Remove Yama
To remove all Yama files, you must kill all Yama processes that are running in your computer's memory. To kill Yama processes, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Windows Task Manager. Click on the "Processes" tab, search for Yama, then right-click it and select "End Process" key.
You'll also need to remove Yama registry keys. To remove Yama registry keys, click on the Windows "Start" button and select "Run" to open Windows Registry Editor. A window will popup. Type "regedit" into the box, and click "OK". Search for the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareYama." Right-click it and select "Delete."
Finally, you'll need to manually delete other malware files to clean your PC of Yama. These Yama can be in the form of EXE, DLL, LSP, TOOLBAR, BROWSER HIJACK, and/or BROWSER PLUGIN. For example, Yama might create a file like
%PROGRAM_FILES%YamaYama.exe. Locate and remove these files.
