Worm Tanatos spreads across the Internet. It comes in infected e-mail messages. Such messages can be without any attachments: the worm can install itself to the computer immediately when a user opens the message for reading. Tanatos sends itself to e-mail addresses found in a computer and placesinfected executables on remote shared disks. It has an integrated backdoor, which can be used by attackers to get the full control over your PC. It also terminates all antivirus and security-related applications processes. Some versions of this worm can infect many software and computer files.
