San Description
This is an Internet worm, which spreads by e-mail in infected messages. It is written in Visual Basic Script language and installs itself to the computer immediately after a user opens a message for reading. Then the worm sends its copies to addresses found in a computer and changes the default start page of Internet Explorer web browser. It also can download and install another virus from the Internet.
Remove San
To remove all San files, you must kill all San processes that are running in your computer's memory. To kill San processes, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Windows Task Manager. Click on the "Processes" tab, search for San, then right-click it and select "End Process" key.
You'll also need to remove San registry keys. To remove San registry keys, click on the Windows "Start" button and select "Run" to open Windows Registry Editor. A window will popup. Type "regedit" into the box, and click "OK". Search for the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareSan." Right-click it and select "Delete."
Finally, you'll need to manually delete other malware files to clean your PC of San. These San can be in the form of EXE, DLL, LSP, TOOLBAR, BROWSER HIJACK, and/or BROWSER PLUGIN. For example, San might create a file like
%PROGRAM_FILES%SanSan.exe. Locate and remove these files.
