Remove Recon
Recon Description
This is a Remote Administration Tool that is used by hackers to control the victim's machine remotely. The possibilities of such applications depend on the needs of the attacker. The attacker infects the PC via the e-mail or File and Print Sharing. A "server" allows him to connect via a "client" on his own machine. The functions of a RAT may vary, depending on the needs of the hacker. Some RATs can't really harm your PC and the only purpose they were made for is hooliganism. But some versions can steal vital information, remove files and even crash your computer. Several versions originated in November 1999. The RAT was created by a group called nexuz.
Remove Recon
To remove all Recon files, you must kill all Recon processes that are running in your computer's memory. To kill Recon processes, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Windows Task Manager. Click on the "Processes" tab, search for Recon, then right-click it and select "End Process" key.
You'll also need to remove Recon registry keys. To remove Recon registry keys, click on the Windows "Start" button and select "Run" to open Windows Registry Editor. A window will popup. Type "regedit" into the box, and click "OK". Search for the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareRecon." Right-click it and select "Delete."
Finally, you'll need to manually delete other malware files to clean your PC of Recon. These Recon can be in the form of EXE, DLL, LSP, TOOLBAR, BROWSER HIJACK, and/or BROWSER PLUGIN. For example, Recon might create a file like
%PROGRAM_FILES%ReconRecon.exe. Locate and remove these files.
