Omerstroke Description

Omerstroke is an AOL spyware that monitors user activity in AIM messenger and records account passwords. It also can capture any user message. Omerstroke sends gathered data to the attacker by e-mail.

Remove Omerstroke

Stop the following Omerstroke processes:
mstasks.exe
newestpics.exe


Remove the following Omerstroke registry keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRunmstasks=C:WindowsSystemmstasks.exe-quiet


Delete the following Omerstroke files:
mstasks.exe
newestpics.exe
