OmegaSearch Description

OmegaSearch.com is a website search engine that is part of adware company Lop.com. If you click to make OmegaSearch.com your home page, you may install Lop.com as your search engine. Like Lop, OmegaSearch may also automatically update itself, and gather standard web log information and computer settings, such as your IP address, operating system, web browser type and version, screen resolution, time zone selected, and the version numbers of some of the software installed on your computer.

Remove OmegaSearch


To remove all OmegaSearch files, you must kill all OmegaSearch processes that are running in your computer's memory. To kill OmegaSearch processes, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Windows Task Manager. Click on the "Processes" tab, search for OmegaSearch, then right-click it and select "End Process" key.

You'll also need to remove OmegaSearch registry keys. To remove OmegaSearch registry keys, click on the Windows "Start" button and select "Run" to open Windows Registry Editor. A window will popup. Type "regedit" into the box, and click "OK". Search for the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareOmegaSearch." Right-click it and select "Delete."

Finally, you'll need to manually delete other malware files to clean your PC of  OmegaSearch. These OmegaSearch can be in the form of EXE, DLL, LSP, TOOLBAR, BROWSER HIJACK, and/or BROWSER PLUGIN. For example, OmegaSearch might create a file like
%PROGRAM_FILES%OmegaSearchOmegaSearch.exe. Locate and remove these files.
