Linst Description

Linst, also known as Sivuxa, is a trojan with additional adware functionality. It collects information about PC software and computer settings and sends it to a predefined web server. It also installs browser add-ons that show undesirable commercial advertisements in Internet Explorer.

Remove Linst

Stop the following Linst processes:
cihost.exe


Remove the following Linst registry keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRuncihost.exe=%windir%cihost.exe


Unregister the following Linst DLL files:
dlinst0.dll
dlinsth.dll
bho.dll


Delete the following Linst files:
cihost.exe
dlinst0.dll
dlinsth.dll
bho.dll
