Remove Keenware

Keenware Description

This illegal advertising application belongs to the adware category. It is designed to receive and show relevant commercial advertisements in many pop-ups, web browser windows or toolbars. Keenware can be secretly installed to the computer while visiting some insecure web sites. It also may be distributed along with some ad-supported software. The threat alters computer or browser configuration, so it could start on every Windows startup and secretly work in background. Keenware violates user privacy and may decrease overall PC performance.

Remove Keenware

To remove all Keenware files, you must kill all Keenware processes that are running in your computer's memory. To kill Keenware processes, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Windows Task Manager. Click on the "Processes" tab, search for Keenware, then right-click it and select "End Process" key.

You'll also need to remove Keenware registry keys. To remove Keenware registry keys, click on the Windows "Start" button and select "Run" to open Windows Registry Editor. A window will popup. Type "regedit" into the box, and click "OK". Search for the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareKeenware." Right-click it and select "Delete."

Finally, you'll need to manually delete other malware files to clean your PC of  Keenware. These Keenware can be in the form of EXE, DLL, LSP, TOOLBAR, BROWSER HIJACK, and/or BROWSER PLUGIN. For example, Keenware might create a file like
%PROGRAM_FILES%KeenwareKeenware.exe. Locate and remove these files.
