Chat1 Description
Chat1, also known as Freeze, is malicious remote administration tool with common set of functions. It secretly runs on victim’s PC and allows remote unauthorized access to it. Chat1 can be used for many harmful purposes. It can steal user’s valuable information, disclose personal documents, remove or damage files, modify critical computer settings, launch and terminate softwares, takeover control over the computer, etc. This spyware is serious security and privacy threat and should be removed as soon as possible using malware removal tools or antivirus software.
Remove Chat1
To remove all Chat1 files, you must kill all Chat1 processes that are running in your computer's memory. To kill Chat1 processes, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Windows Task Manager. Click on the "Processes" tab, search for Chat1, then right-click it and select "End Process" key.
You'll also need to remove Chat1 registry keys. To remove Chat1 registry keys, click on the Windows "Start" button and select "Run" to open Windows Registry Editor. A window will popup. Type "regedit" into the box, and click "OK". Search for the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareChat1." Right-click it and select "Delete."
Finally, you'll need to manually delete other malware files to clean your PC of Chat1. These Chat1 can be in the form of EXE, DLL, LSP, TOOLBAR, BROWSER HIJACK, and/or BROWSER PLUGIN. For example, Chat1 might create a file like
%PROGRAM_FILES%Chat1Chat1.exe. Locate and remove these files.
