CarpeDiem Description

CarpeDiem is a dialer that connects a compromised PC to the Internet by dialing premium rate phone numbers using a modem. CarpeDiem is designed to provide access to pornographic web resources. The threat can get into the computer while visiting some insecure adult sites. It is able to update itself via the Internet.

Remove CarpeDiem

Stop the following CarpeDiem processes:
cdupdater.exe
elena.exe
parisvoyeur.exe

Remove the following CarpeDiem registry keys:
