Backdoor.Mechbot Description

Backdoor.Mechbot is a backdoor spyware which poses a real danger to your private information. Once installed, Backdoor.Mechbot will allow the remote attacker to gain full access to your machine over the Internet. The remote hacker then may perform nasty activities, such as stealing your sensitive data including passwords. Backdoor.Mechbot is a major security threat and should be removed immediately to protect your confidential data.

Remove Backdoor.Mechbot

To remove all Backdoor.Mechbot files, you must kill all Backdoor.Mechbot processes that are running in your computer's memory. To kill Backdoor.Mechbot processes, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Windows Task Manager. Click on the "Processes" tab, search for Backdoor.Mechbot, then right-click it and select "End Process" key.

You'll also need to remove Backdoor.Mechbot registry keys. To remove Backdoor.Mechbot registry keys, click on the Windows "Start" button and select "Run" to open Windows Registry Editor. A window will popup. Type "regedit" into the box, and click "OK". Search for the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareBackdoor.Mechbot." Right-click it and select "Delete."

Finally, you'll need to manually delete other malware files to clean your PC of Backdoor.Mechbot. These Backdoor.Mechbot can be in the form of EXE, DLL, LSP, TOOLBAR, BROWSER HIJACK, and/or BROWSER PLUGIN. For example, Backdoor.Mechbot might create a file like
%PROGRAM_FILES%Backdoor.MechbotBackdoor.Mechbot.exe. Locate and remove these files.
