Backdoor.Hupigeon Description
This RAT was designed not only for virtual hooliganism, but also for logging keystrokes and sending the collected info to the attacker. Originated in October 2003. It uses a "backdoor" to gain the intruder unnoticed access. The infection can be performed via the e-mail or the File and Print Sharing. The Trojan allows the hacker to do following operations: Enable/disable the Trojan, Open/close CD-ROM drive, Steal ICQ configurations, Steal computer information, Log keystrokes. It affects Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Me operating computers. Windows 3.x, Macintosh, UNIX, Linux are not affected.
Remove Backdoor.Hupigeon
Stop the following Backdoor.Hupigeon processes:renamed.exe
Delete the following Backdoor.Hupigeon files:
renamed.exe
