Backdoor.Agobot.gen Description

Backdoor.Agobot.gen is a backdoor worm that spreads through P2P sharing programs. Once it is installed, Backdoor.Agobot.gen will attempt to connect to IRC so that the remote attacker can hijack your PC and get full control over it. Backdoor.Agobot.gen may steal your sensitive data such as financial and banking information, therefore it is recommended to remove it immediately. Backdoor.Agobot.gen has the ability to turn off or evade anti-virus and anti-spyware applications.

Remove Backdoor.Agobot.gen

To remove all Backdoor.Agobot.gen files, you must kill all Backdoor.Agobot.gen processes that are running in your computer's memory. To kill Backdoor.Agobot.gen processes, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Windows Task Manager. Click on the "Processes" tab, search for Backdoor.Agobot.gen, then right-click it and select "End Process" key.

You'll also need to remove Backdoor.Agobot.gen registry keys. To remove Backdoor.Agobot.gen registry keys, click on the Windows "Start" button and select "Run" to open Windows Registry Editor. A window will popup. Type "regedit" into the box, and click "OK". Search for the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareBackdoor.Agobot.gen." Right-click it and select "Delete."

Finally, you'll need to manually delete other malware files to clean your PC of  Backdoor.Agobot.gen. These Backdoor.Agobot.gen can be in the form of EXE, DLL, LSP, TOOLBAR, BROWSER HIJACK, and/or BROWSER PLUGIN. For example, Backdoor.Agobot.gen might create a file like
