Remove Accid

Accid Description

Accid is an Internet worm that spreads via MSN Messenger through instant messages and online chat conversations. The spyware is installed by following malicious links that messages sent from already infected hosts contain.

Remove Accid

Stop the following Accid processes:
msmsgr.exe


Remove the following Accid registry keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRunMSNMessengerUserControls
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRunServicesMSNMessengerUserControls
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRunMSNMessengerUserControls
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRunServicesMSNMessengerUserControls
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionTempData=msmsgr.exe
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystemDisableTaskMgr=1
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystemDisableRegistryTools=1


Delete the following Accid files:
msmsgr.exe
