Hi all

My AVG6 has just detected "Worm/Tibick.A" but couldn't remove it, there was
4 infected files so I done some searching for a removal tool and had no joy.
So firstly I turned off system restore [1 file gone] then deleted another
..exe file [number 2] but I'm stuck on what to do next as I don't know where
the other 2 files reside. I'm sure they must be in the registry. but I'm a
bit worried about deleting stuff in there.

Any advice would be greatfully appreciated TIA

The registry is not a folder - it's only data.

(snip)
I wish it would have named the files so at least I could have searched for
them.Even google never came up with anything.

p.mc: Symantec provides instructions on how to delete the
values from the registry for this worm. Here's the link. The
instructions are near the bottom of the page. Hope this
helps.

Glad I could help... When I first looked up the name of the
worm I couldn't find it either, but then I tried w32.Tibick
and left off the "A" and that did it on Symantec "search".
